The talc in Ariège is known thanks to the mine of Luzenac, first open air exploitation in the world. But Donezan has a seam, too.
When you walk to the Rabassoles, at the far end of the big plateau of Artounant, one has to cross a brook which comes from the South. Go back upstream about 15 minutes and open wide your eyes. You are on a small heap of green-streaked white stones or with green as the dominant. One sees that the ground has been shaken quite a few years ago now.
This very modest mine, about 10 shaken square meters, was locally used and a little bit exported into Aude.
Make a break with the children, old and young ones, a good break before the assault of the final of Rabassoles. Make them choose, every one of them, a stone and make them rub their hands on it, and then both hands, the one against the other... the skin will be smooth...
